My kid is in the Netherlands, he took this picture today using his iPhone. He said the lighting was perfect at the moment:

Kind of reminds me of the Walleye run around here. Every year people in waders with their poles venture out to stand in freezing cold water and catch fish. I don't have the patience myself, but it's quite the spectacle as you cross over the bridges in the shallow areas. Traded a guy at work a couple tools for some fresh fish a few years back.

Habitat: The Pacific smelt spends most of its life in the ocean, migrating up rivers, including the Columbia and its tributaries, to spawn. The eggs attach to gravelly, woody, or sandy substrate of the river bottoms, but upon hatching the juvenile smelt get swept downstream back to the ocean.

As father of the bride I wore my fathers Navajo style Turquoise and Coral bolo tie.

 

A fine time was had by all.

One thing I did notice during the cleanup after, was that all the booze was gone and all the food was gone but one tray with the magic name of, VEGAN.
