and catfish... I guess... but the sea is an entirely different thing, ain't it?
We have a fish here that is even uglier than a catfish, locally known as a Maria, a type of fresh water cod.
Most of the bunch that fish the river where they are throw them up on the bank as 'garbage fish' just because of their appearance and 'bottom feeders'.
If they only know they make good eating, they have a skin like an eel.
Max.

Spring is at full swing down where I live. You can tell because the peach tree in my backyard is finally giving sweet, ripe fruit. This is its way of repaying us for the loving care we've given it... :)

You lucky bastard!! All my apricots have already been ruined by frost and have fallen on the ground, looks like I wont be eating them this year:(.
Should start singing California dreamin'.

Having dinner with my wife. This is the view from the restaurant's mezzanine, looking towards Saddle Mountain at sunset.

And this is what dinner looked like:

Where's the rest of it? ;)
Oh, that was just a sampler dish! Believe it or not, the best part was the plate on the left, which is a Peruvian recipe of sliced fresh tuna fish, covered on a creamy sauce of sweet potato with vinegar dipped onion slices and fine herbs. Trust me, it tastes far better than it sounds or looks.

Yeah, I know. But you have to admit that the large plate looks a little scarce, don't you think?

But it wasn't that bad, the whole sampler cost only $15.00 dlls, after all.
Sounds like the dish I got at a local Peruvian restaurant here. Excellent ceviche, I have no idea what the fish was? And the owner makes cookies so addicting it's like eating sugar coated Crack!!!!!!!!

Six Cookies in a small bag is $5 dollars, I walked out with 3 bags and a bill totaling $33.

Not me, my wife. he he I'm getting a lot of milage out of them;)

This is the 3rd day and she barely finished one bag. I think she's saving them and the flavor as long as she can. :D

Oddly, they aren't rich, actually very smooth and delightful with some kind of fruit filling and it's not sugar instead powdered sugar. :)
