Looking for a little help on selecting a replacement part for my TV. I have 2 color wheels for the TV and both exhibit the same problem where after x amount of time the colors shift and the screen flickers. 1 of them goes out of sync after about a minute, where as the other will work properly for about 20mins.
From all the research I've done the part that actually fails is a Reflective Phototransistor/Photointerrupter that is attached to the color wheel. I'm assuming this is what the TV uses to keep everything in sync and seems to be a heat related issue as I came across a post somewhere that said if you hit it with a can of freeze-it? that it will snap back into proper operation.
The original part is a Sharp GP2S40

It was suggested that I could use a QRE1113 http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/149/QRE1113-117457.pdf
I know that right out of the gates that the pinouts are different however I'm sure I could rectify that easily enough.
What I need help with is figuring out what of the listed specs are the ones I really need to concentrate on when sourcing a replacement.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as a $2 part vs $180 for a new wheel would be awesome
