I received a message on my Ipad, didn’t open it. Suggested results after a search say’s could be Phishing or other virus related threats.

It is phishing—which is not a virus-related thing, it is social engineering. The purpose of the PDF attachment is to avoid spam scanning programs by embedding the social engineering content in a form that is not (usually) scanned.

The same can be true of compressed attachments and images.

But viruses are a different category of attack, which this would not be.

 

I get little things all the time. I never mind them and throw them away is all I have the energy for. I have "scam" labeled for the persistent little @#$%ers that keep calling me.
