I like DesignSpark because it can output so many formats including old HP pen plotter, PDF, gerber, ... And very easy to use.
I don't like DesignSpark because when changing round pads to oval or rectangle pads on some components, the rectangles and ovals are oriented the wrong way (along the length of a DIP package). There is no way to rotate just the pad. You have to use generic DIP 40 parts instead of the Microchip template if you want oval or oblong pads and then constantly check pinout on Datasheets.
As for activation codes, check your spam folder.
