Hi...

I have a question which I need to answer and I'm not quite sure what to answer.

In Channel, setup a sinusoidal wave form of 250Hz freqency and 6V Vpp.
Turn on Channel II, DC mode and setup a 2V DC signal.

Select the function "ADD".

Then, change Channel I mode to "AC" and check what happened.

Ok, when I did this, probably I did something wrong because I couldn't see any changes.

The "ADD" function simply adds one signal to the other??? Is it only that? Will the result be a 2+sin(2*pi*250) wave form observed in DC mode???
If so, the change is that the waveform climbs up 2 squares in the scale if Channel II has 1V per division, right?

hi,
In the Add mode, the AC signal will be algebraically added to the DC signal.

So the AC signal, 0V [ where it passes thru 0V ] will now be at +2V

You could use LTS to prove the maths.
