I got a tv pcb abd took some parts out of it.

I got a few of these orange rectangular things. I read that these are film caps. But how do i tell there values?
Some are
35k400
100k100
120k100
15k400
100k250
and a big one that says 4n7 j 1400Vp-p 375 kp/mkp f0 (looks like it has a small Phillips symbol on it)

then theres a big brown thing. it says 274j then an s in a circle then 200

also there is a glass thing. Its clear has 2 leads no markings and 2 metal things in side. it does not do any thing when i passed voltage trough it.

Theres more but i g2g eat.:D

For example, 100K100 means a 10pF capacitor, grade K (10% tol.) and rated 100V. The first two digits indicate the base values and the third is the multiplier. Therefore you know that it is a 10pF capacitor because 10 x 10^0 = 10. Notice the value of this capacitors is expressed in pF. For example, if the capacitor was marked 101K100, you would have a 100pF capacitor, since 10 x 10^1. Now the letter tells the tolerance. J means 5%, K means 10% and M means 20% tolerance. The last digits indicate the voltage rating in volts. By the way, I think that the first and fourth mentioned caps have some missing digits.

The other cap that says 4n7 J 1400Vpp is easier to read. It means that has a 4.7nF capacitance, 5% tolerance and a rating of1400V (peak to peak).

The last one that says 274J uses the same conventoin of the first five capacitors. Don't mind the S inside a circle. That one is a 270000pF, or a 270nF capacitor with 5% tolerance and 200V rating.

The last device seems to be some kind of a diode, but who knows.
