In my recent study of tectonics I've seen ones with and without LC circuits and I'm wondering how one can function without a LC circuit to tune to a certain frequicy. Wouldn't a antenna on the rectenna be picking up all sorts of frequicies and if so how would the rectifier and capsitors work with multiple frequicies when the cApsitor has to be measured out for one specific voltage and frequicy to charge and discharge properly for a load. Could someone clear this up for me . Thanks.

 

A (usually broadly) resonant receive antenna is the equivalent of a LC circuit.

The capacitance and inductance of an RF antenna are determined by its physical properties.
