Hi allI have a bunch of a STEP- SYN stepping motor type 103-710-7 ( SANYO DENKI CO.,LTD ) with 8 wires

I want to run the motor in bipolar configuration to achive max torque!

I'm able to find the corresponding leads for eatch coil, and but how do I determinate witch coils to wire up in parallel to to achive this?

The corresponding coils and wires are:
Red - redhwite
Black- blackwhite
yellow- yellowwhite
orange- orangewhite

Thanks in advance
Jens

If you have a bunch of the same, take one apart and take the mystery out of the process. If you do it carefully, you don't even have to sacrifice it.

Just use a multimeter (set to measure resistance) and keep probing the wire pairs till you find the ones that show resistance..
