Knowing the Output signal to noise ratio and the input signal to noise ratio of an amplifier.

I have to find the noise factor.

The output signal to noise ratio is 63.01dB and the input signal to noise ratio is 40dB.

Is it just F= I/P signal to noise ratio / O/p signal to noise ratio?

giving me F = 0.63dB

or isit F=10log10 I/P signal to noise ratio / O/P signal to noise ratio?

giving me F = 1.97dB

Hope someone can help
