Hi All,
I have Ryobi 18V battery pack,
The battery don't have any marking say if it is a nickel -cadmium or nickel metal hydride battery's !
i have 10 battery's NI-CD 1900mAH and 5 battery's NI-MH 2900mAH ,
and all 15 battery's are brand new,
My question is can i mix them all in one battery pack ?
thanks

My answer to this is "no", do not mix the cells. The smaller 1900mAH cells will run out first, and can get reverse charged by the 2900mAH cells. Back in my RC days, this was even a problem using unmatched cells of the same rated capacity. You never want to run it down too far, because you will start to reverse-charge the weakest cell in the pack.

I didn't find any post regarding this subject in the link !
In general, it's bad to mix batteries with different chemistries or states of charge. Manufacturers often put this warning on devices that use multiple batteries.

Will it work? Yes. Will it be detrimental to battery life (as in battery failure for rechargeables)? Likely.

NO, not reccomended to mix different rechargeable cells, as they require different charging methods..
