just looking for your input on what multiband radio has the most bands to choose from. thinking about getting a multiband radio and in my opinion the more bands the better, more broadcasts to listen too. thank you!

Hello,

It depends on what you want to do with it.
Here is one that can receive all frequencies between 40 kHz and 3150 MHz.
http://www.cqdx.ru/blog/2010/12/24/new-aor-ar-5001dx-wide-band-receiver/

It will cost you about 3500 Euro.

The wiki has a page for shortwave listening:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shortwave_listening
And one for shortwave radio:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shortwave_radio
And one about amateur radio:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amateur_radio

You can also listen online using the WebSDR radio of the university of Twente:
http://websdr.ewi.utwente.nl:8901/
You can stretch the view using the mouse wheel and shift the view using the left mouse button in the waterfall.

Here is also a list with some more WebSDR sites:

Many of the scanners have full band coverage, and add scanner benefits of being able to automatically find signals for you.
