Nah, I don't play it. I LIVE IN IT!

But seriously. I have paid for the game since it was in beta. I have some ON and OFF time with it occasionally.

I think it's one of the most ingenious games ever built.

It's great. I started a couple of years ago when I lived in Korea, and I had a Korean girlfriend... so now when the classic minecraft songs start to play in the game, i think back to that time.... nostalgia!

I mostly build home bases, safe and well equipped, linked with transportation networks. I 'm organized like that.

I also like to clear caves.

I love the game, even done some mild modding for it!
my friends here at purdue set up a server and we play it quite frequently, its a lot more fun with other people!

It's not only that. You spend two days building your artful and architecturally correct house and then your neighbour raises a monstrosity of a shed, 100ft tall. It just ruins the view.

Hey, Creative or Survival?

I stopped stacking cobblestone after my first dual chest. I filled another single chest with stone ladders. Now I 'm baking it into stone.

I 've built a lava pit for a dumpster, though. I 'll need it soon.

What's the purpose of recreation?

Some people find different things relaxing or worthwhile. I don't find minecraft that interesting, but I still play computer games. I'm quite into Call of Duty at the moment, but other games are good too.

Other times I go fishing. I don't need to fish to live, I do it for fun.

And then I play my bagpipes. I don't need to annoy my neighbours, I do it for fun. :D

Minecraft is like painting a painting, but in four dimensions. It's the most creative and imaginative game there has ever existed.

You are placed into a world and you are able to terraform it into your creation, create buildings, even functioning circuits!

I've seen people build fully functioning processors!

I feel the same about this as I do with World of Warcraft. It's a good thing I never played it, because if I did, I would spend my life on it...

actually...
that sounds fun...
world loads as a blank pcb, you run around digging vias and laying traces and building components
then at the end it generates some real board files or simulates it....
that sounds like quite a bit of fun!
