i wanted to know if there was a programmer which is cheaper then the TOP2005+ or TOP2005 programmer (costing 80$) ad can program all pic chips and the usual old and unreliable 8051,8052.
I'm not aware of an "all-in-one" solution. My suggestion would be to look at using a dedicated kit and use the programmer specific to that device. Obviously that has the problem of locking you into a particular device/manufacturer.
If you want to ease the device restrictions I may be able to suggest something more suitable.

Some scanners are picking something up, so to be on the safe-side I have removed the link.Picked up a virus at this suggested web site. My virus checker took care of it, but be on the alert! <Link removed>
If you are going for the PIC 16x and/or 18x series then try the Pickit 2 Programmer (ref. http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=1406&dDocName=en023805), download from http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/PICkit 2 v2.52 Setup A.zipwell i need to use the 16f84 and some of the 18f series of pics and if it doesnt program other chips than its k. any ideas?
