i wanted to know if there was a programmer which is cheaper then the TOP2005+ or TOP2005 programmer (costing 80$) ad can program all pic chips and the usual old and unreliable 8051,8052.

I'm not aware of an "all-in-one" solution. My suggestion would be to look at using a dedicated kit and use the programmer specific to that device. Obviously that has the problem of locking you into a particular device/manufacturer.

If you want to ease the device restrictions I may be able to suggest something more suitable.

well i need to use the 16f84 and some of the 18f series of pics and if it doesnt program other chips than its k. any ideas?

 

i found this schematic on a website. should i construct it?and the 16f84 is not listed in the supported ic's.

i found this schematic from the website of winpic800 it is said that it can program neary all pics and some avrs. will it work and what about the code for the 18f2550 which i assume will be main piece of programming firmware.i can get it programmed if i find the code.also is a junebug clone better than a clone of this programmer??
