Hi all.
Is there a replacement microcontroller PIC16f84?

I have loads of useful programs\HEX\ source code files that I would like to continue using; the only problem is the PIC16f84 is now obsolete.

The PIC16F628 provides an upgrade path and is cheaper with more capabilities. You will have to reassemble and change the config switches.

I agreee to Papabravo,
16F628 or 16F628A are the best replacements for 16F84. And also it is much more easy to find these ICs in the market than 16F84.
