I bought LM 393 IC chip in the wrong size. This chip is real small. Can a do- it -yourself-er be able to solder this chip or is there some kind of a machine needed. I dont think this thing can be soldered without burn it out. Who knows what on this problem? Just buy bigger ones is my guess.

Sounds like you bought a Smd type chip, just needs a small tip to solder it with a temperature controlled iron, if you're not very good at soldering, get a standard dip type chip, with a socket instead.
