Hello every one I am using LC sensor for detection of metal. How can I increase the distance of detection of metal. I am taking reference from this link

I am able to detect the metal but from very short distance about 1mm I want this distance of at least 3mm.
Please help me on this issue.

In real metal detectors the coils can be quite large.

Actually I want to detect the small metal plate and I am able to detect the plate but it not works for long distance(3 cm) pls give some idea.

What is the size of the plate to be detected?
