Hi all,

I have found a circuit compoment ceramic capacitor failed. But cant decide what is the capacitance?

On it i can see mdc 11hc 150v

What does this mean?

I need to change this component. Please have a look and tell me your opinion.

I agree with @AlbertHall that it's a varistor. Depending where it's located, one can deduce its rating. But it actually seems a 150VAC varistor. In that case, usually another varistor with the same rating works. I mean, it doesn't have to be the 11HC strictly if you can find a proper replacement.

Thank you very much all. Yes we may not need to find that hc code because it is company specific code. Any 150vac varistor with same specs if possible will do. Actually this is a varistor from company called maida. So MDC means maida company. 11hc is a special code from company defining it.

Anyone wonderin this component can access guide of it through link here;
