Maybe overboard with the breakout boards.

I may have gone a bit crazy with the breakout boards. But in my defense I wanted to be sure that I had the right one with so many package types it's hard to decide. OOPS maybe next decade I will know. It will be that long before I use these up.

Whatever floats your boat.

I'm more inclined to purchase extra of whatever I actually need so I'll have them on hand. I purchased 100 SOT-23 to SIP adapters, used up a couple dozen and ordered another 100. I ordered some SOIC16 adapters and cut one to use for 2 SOIC8 chips. Then I decided to buy the SOIC8 adapters that were narrower.

I also bought some SOIC to DIP adapters for testing parts in SOIC (e.g. 93C46R). I also needed to make an extra adapter because the mentioned device has a rotated pinout:
