maximum wimax transmit power

hi there,

i was wondering what is the typical max downlink transmit power (from base station) of WiMAX?

what is the maximum number of users that are usually supported in a cell of a WiMAX network?

any comments on this metter would be very much appreciated.

I'm no expert in the field but from what I can gather the WiMax standard supports 256 channels of which about 200 are available to end users.

Base station power seems to be in the 5 to 50 Watt range.

i believe that if WiMAX is operating in the 2.5GHz frequency range that the maximum transmitted power is around +20 dBm?????

AlexR, when you say 256 channels are you refering to the OFDM subcarreirs? If 200 channels are available to end users does it mean that maximum number of users is 200? or it depends how many subcarriers you allocate for each user?

i appologize if the questions are a bit trivial but i am new in this filed and quite interested in WiMAX?
