Hello! My next project is a VU meter like this one, but with different frequencies. I found the MAX1002/1003 6-bit ADC, but I couldn't find any circuits using it. Does anyone have a circuit, or some kind of easy way to know how to use it? Thank you.

You may think: Well, just buy a kit then.
No. I want it to be big and I want to incorporate it into a T-shirt. Thank you, once again.

EDIT: any alternative chips are welcome

I made a VU meter with a microphone input with an now obsolete LM3915 IC (30dB of range) and it shows loudness. I added a circuit that adds +20dB (10 times the signal voltage) to very low levels.
My hearing is good at determining frequencies.

can you post a picture?
edit: I saw some of them on aliexpress. what is the power usage? (V, A)

The MAX1002 an do 60,000,000 samples a second- why do you need that for audio? You can replace the LM3915 in @Audioguru again ‘s circuit with LM339 comparators and a few resistors For a fraction of the cost of a MAX1002.
