[Matlab] Psychoacoustic in wavelet domain

Hi all.. i'm working at the wavelet codec. I already done frequency analysis using DPWT and converted subbands to bark scale, and now i need to implement psychoacoustic model.. and i'm stuck ! Using FFT is forbidden in this case and i can't find anywhere informations (i mean informations explained in simple logical way) about it. So.. i'm asking you for help :)
