No doubt many of you will be assisting your children with their exam revision at this time of year.

I offer this example – representative of a typical exam-board maths question.
It might help if you work through this example with your offspring, giving them confidence when confronted by such a problem.
[Given my recent maths postings – many might consider it to be typical of my efforts]


Question – (10 points)

John is 3 years older than his sister Mary; their father is running 3 minutes late to catch his daily commute to work – calculate the mass of the sun.
