Anyone have any schematics or info/suggestions on Mackie CR2-x cube speakers ? Mine suddenly have no output to the speakers, though they seem to still have at least some output to the phones jack.
Thanks

The first thing you want to do is to disconnect the loudspeakers from the circuit to avoid blowing them.

After yo disconnect the speakers from the amplifier, use your multimeter to measure the voice coil resistance. Ifthe reading is open circuit then the problem is in the speakers, not the amplifier.

Are these amplified speakers?? Or not?? Is there a separate amplifier?Or is it built into the cube?? Are the controls remote from the cube??

Yes Sir, these are powered speakers. The circuitry is contained within the primary unit, and an output ( L and R RCA jacks, powered) is provided to the second enclosure, which itself is passive. There are 2 circuit boards, one appears to be focused on the selection of the 3 input options, those being usb, bluetooth, or traditional trs, and volume control, and the second appears to be the power amp. And of course, it is all surface mount stuff, barely distinguishable with the naked eye. Thanks so much for even bothering to reply. I know it is a Hail Mary even asking. I am continuing to "try" to identify and test individual components.

OK, at this point, diagnostics at a distance can get tedious.
Question: Do the volume controls still adjust the volume in the headphones?? Is the sound in the headphones distorted??
