It is quite a challenge to find a suitable balance between "teaching" (by a lecturer) and "self-teaching" (by students). Don`t overlook the importance of the latter

I am not sure why you replied like that i wasnt talking about you. I was talking about some of the teachers i heard about from students usually from some distant class like through email or online some way. They tend to leave a lot of info out and dont respond to students requests for more information and more detail.
