Hi,

I am trying to put together a simple monitoring system using some ultrasonic proximity sensors. I have found some at the right price/switching speed etc., but the connector options are either M8 or M12.

I need to attach them to a screw terminal block.

My question is, can I remove the M8/12 connector to expose the bare wires that I can then screw into the terminal block or do I have to keep searching for sensors listed with bare wire connections?

Any advice would be welcome.

hi,
I would say if you make a careful note of the colours of the wire associated with each pin number, a terminal block would be OK.
