anyone had used LTC2983? in its datasheet, VDD=2.85 to 5.5V, any consideration of the power supply selected for it? I mean how to decide whether it need 3.3V or 5V?

You generally use the microprocessor power supply it's connected to.

Yes, the voltage of the rest of the system. Do the sensors have a supply voltage on them? I don't think it would be wise to have a higher voltage on a sensor input than the chip is running at.
