I have a circuit where the voltage supply is erratic pulses that are very low voltages, I would say around 200-500 mV and I'm trying to havest the energy using basic components to turn on a small Red LED with a forward voltage of 2.2V. Using a CST-100 (Current sense transformer 100 turns) and a full bridge rectifier using generic 1n14148 diodes, I was able to get an output voltage of 3.5 to 5 volts. Now the output of the bridge rectifier is charging a cap that is 1000f and takes forever to charge up but it charges up. I was wondering if it's possible to create a voltage trigger switch using basic components to discharge and charge the capacitor at a certain voltage threshold. Thank you.
