I remember there's an article on Practical Electronics describing a circuit called Logiscope. It was made up of an CA3140 op-amp, a 4017 and an osc using 555 or something else (cannot remember exactly).

I made the circuit and lost the magazine. Any one got that article mind to scan it for me? If that's too much trouble, the schematic would be fine too. I want to reconstruct the thing again.

Cheers.

Do you need a vintage part as well?

I have the S, T and E versions available.

20171018_081155.jpg No, thanks. I have enough of them in DIL8 to do at least 10 PCB. Besides, I have upgraded to a better scope using 10 x 10 LEDs from the Forrest M Mims circuit scrapbook Vol 1.

Why not sell them on eBay. You can fetch a good price on this type of chip especially if they have golden leads.

From eBay, 10 pc of CA3140EZ (intersil) cost $2.20 free shipping China while 1 pc CA3140AT (Harris) costs $9.98+$6 shipping from HK.

You don't see many chips with RCA printing these days....

I am so happy I spent 20 minutes finding the article to respond to a 14 year old thread.

The last post before the above was 9 years ago.

Please don't reply to zombie threads.
