Hi everyone,

I'm currently trying to conclude my master's degree in microelectronics and I was wondering if there is anyone that could give me some specific guidance. Feeling a bit lost and I would like to learn this job from somebody who does it regularly.

Thank you in advance.

Analog circuit design covers a lot of topics. What areas are you interested in? Do you currently have a BSEE?

Teaching requires time, effort, and motivation. Are you expecting someone to do this for advertising? I ask because this seems to be a popular method of compensating people among the younger generation. I am more than a bit dubious on the merits of such a proposition.

The current course I'm enrolled in focuses more on approaching circuit development from the bottom. The course is an integrated master's in microelectronic and nanotechnology, focusing more on material physics. I'm interested in speaking with somebody who specializes in developing circuits from a top approach or has been circuit developing for a long time. My professors are very good at what they do, but I feel a bit lost when it comes to possible career paths. I do not know any circuit design professionals, and I would like to understand the area better.

We understand what you want.
What type of electronics courses does your school offer?
Currently, it offers electrical and computational engineering and the one that I'm currently attending. I had 5 different electronic classes. Eletronic 1 to 4 and a more specialised class on low voltage electronics and power management. Eletronic 1 was basic topologies using mosfets and BJTs. then Elec. 2 was more focused towards using amplifiers and checking for stabilization and compensation techniques. Elec 3 was focused on ADC and DACs by using alternating capacitors. Elec. 4 was the most challenging one with radio frequency amplifier design.
Still don't know how I managed to do them all the first try ahah

Then it sounds like you have a good basics in analog design.
Does it offer a course on microelectronics and/or IC design?

Yeah I forgot about those ones. I also had 3 microelectronics focused on production and a class on nanocircuits and analog systems. I have the basics I guess but not the practical knowledge that somebody working in the field for years has.
