Suggestions on who has them ? Hobby/radiocontrol/robotics stores visited on-line are not promising so far.
Should pull about 200 grams, 5mm stroke. It is to release a string under tension with some sort of mechanism that I would have to think about also.

 

May have to buy one that is close voltage and modify it.
A RC servo may operate at that voltage, <360 rotation.

I have such a beast. 1 / 2 ohm. 5 oz. @ 5 mm with no pole piece & maybe 8 oz. with pole piece. Several pounds to seperate if armature ( 3/8 in. ) contacts pole.

Might consider a small linear actuator to hold the string as it can hold with no power. A sketch
of operation might help the thought process.

 

Take the electronics out of a servo and use the motor and gearbox.

A solenoid that can produce 200 grams over a 5 mm stroke is going to be a monster.
