Livestrong LS10.0T "Connecting LS" displayed on console

Hi, If the error that shows on console is "Connecting LS" and both your motors work fine, then its an issue with Circuit Board, at least in my case. I shipped mine to the repair guys on Ebay and shipped back. It works fine and all costed $75USD.
It just shows "CONNECTING" (no LS), and I believe the motors are working fine.

I think it should be the same. You can contact the eBay repair guys with this query, they are very prompt and answer if they can repair or not. In case its not repairable, I was mentioned they would ship back and return payment.

Hi all,

I have the same issue with the console board saying "connecting." After reading prior posts, as of now, I have found that when the console cable is connected to the control board, a continuous "buzz" sound appear. My question -- how do I know whether it's the cable that needs to be replaced or the control board?

I think the belt and the motor are fine.

Any insights will be appreciated.

I realize this is an older thread but I'm copying a post I made to another Livestrong "connecting" post. Good info in the attached files.

I looked for ever to try and find any mention of this "connecting" error. I have had 2 treadmills fail in this way. The only document I could find was two Service Bulletins from Johnson Equipment. (makers of MANY treadmill brands) It mentions the only problem likely is a broken wire from the MCB to the UCB. The LS10.0t I have currently failed is not a broken wire as I have metered it out multiple times. Then just last week I picked up another LS10.0t for free that only had some buttons not working (speed up and down, Start, Stop) The rest of it works fine. I hooked up the console from the "connecting" one to the working one. Still showed "connecting" So it is something in the UCB. I haven't been able to do any further troubleshooting yet. You will notice one of the attached SB's is for a Horizon 5.3AT however it has the same MCB as the LS. Anyway, food for thought.

Thanks.

Hi all, thanks for this thread. This information was great.

cec4111 - did you ever get yours fixed? I'm having the exact same problem as you with the same treadmill, and I actually contacted the person mentioned by pcampo and he said he believes the problem is in the Upper Control Board and not fixable, requiring a brand new board. So in his words, I would need part 1000223785 instead of 1000111476 listed here: (https://parts.johnsonfitness.com/htm0926-01-ls13-0t-c2-tm439c-2012-2013)
Hey, did you every get your treadmill fixed? Was it the Upper or Lower control board? I'm having the same issue.

Anybody believe my upper board is fried? Looks like some damage from heat maybe.

Thanks for this thread. I am in the same boat. LS10.0T and sent the circuit board to https://www.ebay.ca/str/healthandfitnessrepair

I am in Canada so sent the circuit board and it came back in three weeks as repaired. hooked everything back up and same issue and i am stuck at 'connecting'

My motor is fine as when i connect that to a 9V Battery its fine.

I am talking to a local guy and he believes now it could be upper control board ..
