Hello, I was wondering if these batteries are the same as each other. I don’t want to fry the memory circuit board in my TDS460A.

 

They are the same Voltage, but the Lithium is for longer lasting backup.

 

The manual for the TDS460 specifically calls for the BR 2/3A battery. Personally I wouldn't put a non-rechargeable in it just in case it tries to recharge it, it could be very bad for your scope.

 

Actually, after looking at panasonic BR 2/3A specs on Newark:

it looks like it actually isnt rechargeable. So maybe no problem.

It might be difficult solderng to the tabs. PC pins might be better.

 

The batteries are both non-rechargeable lithium at 3V when new. The Energizer does not have wires welded on.
