hi all, after choosing L, W for a technology, is there a way of finding Leff of that device?(atleast a crude approximation) On factors does it depend?

hi, i'm using 180nm tsmc technology....while calculating, some of the equations ask to use Leff, rather than L....so, could u help me in this regard....
(while going through a design in 0.50μm technology, it was given that Leff can be around 0.35μm, i couldn't understand, on basis this was concluded....)

 

If Google is not lying to me, "Leff" is "transistor's effective channel length."

This stuff is way over my head...

 

You need to ask the TSMC guy. It is process dependent parameter.
