I found this very thin LED Bead it is like a thing strand with LEDs in it.

It take 3. Volts at 100mA and I have a Battery Pack that has 4. AA Batteries in series so this will give me 6. Volts.

So I know how to use a Resistor to give me the 3. Volts I need.

I just thought because it takes 100mA how can they say it is for DIY Projects?

How many Hours will my Battery Pack last?

Hello,

I do not see any reference of the 100 mA on the given page.
What is the capacity of your battery pack?
The value must be given in mAh.
Using a resistor to drop the 6 Volts to 3 Volts, will have the same power loss in the resistor as the led strip takes.

How does taking 100 mA have any bearing on being able to say that it is for DIY projects????

At a 100 mA draw, a typical alkaline AA cell has about 2500 mAh, so you can expect somewhere around 24 hours of service before your terminal voltage from your pack is down near the 3 V point. At some point before that, however, the current will be low enough to notice the drop in light output. Of course, the current draw will also be dropping, so you might get a bit more than 24 hours before it becomes unacceptable.

100mA is probably the maximum recommended current – it's best not to run LEDs at maximum current for optimal life. You may get adequate brightness at a fraction of that current and much longer battery life.

Adafruit has some great technical resources on using these types of filaments.

If you click on More Specs I found it does say 3. V at 100mA.

I did want to ask about how long these come?

I see these are 6. Inches Long can you get these Longer?

How do yo figure that? It lists two sizes, 130mm and 300mm. Those are about 5 inches and 12 inches. If you want longer, string them together.

But I am skeptical, the 300 mm costs 1/3 of the 130mm? I suspect it is a typo and the 300 should be 30.

well if I twist the Ends back to back it will work.

Am I not right you will see a break were you twisted them back to back when you light it?

This is why I wanted to know if they make longer ones because they will make it longer and it will look right.
