I am planning to use a 3.3V LDO in a SOT-223 package.
I aim to use the following:
Microsoft Word - AP2114 D2.2 130114 (diodes.com)
When selecting an LDO I also look into alternative manufacturers as well.
It seems that a SOT-223 has two versions, one with TAB being the output and the other being GND.
Is it simply a preference or is there a purpose for each version?
