Hello, this is my first post.
I have an Insignia LCD TV and I disconnected the LCD display from the main circuit board. The thin almost foil like housing on the outlet (that takes the bus strip plug that goes between the TV main circuit board and the secondary, LCD circuit board) of the secondary, LCD circuit board fell off. Whereas the plug still goes into and secures itself into the secondary, LCD circuit board the LCD no longer turns on even when the TV power indicator is on. Is this thin metal housing over the outlet necessary for transmitting the electrical current and data?
In two very small places the metal housing was soldered on each side to the circuit board.
Please see picture.
Thank you very much everyone.
