Hello, so I have a signal that I need to convert to frequency. I have the signal in laplace transform now and I heard that I can convert it to fourier transform by s = jw. The problem is I can't plot the signal that way. Is there something I'm missing / doing wrong ?

Hello,

If i understand you right then you have to take your expression and plot the magnitude and phase shift for a frequency of choice 'w' where w=2*pi*f.

I must turn the signal to frequency and plot it. Im not aware of the magnitude and phase shift as they might have a different meaning in my language. I understood that you can link the laplace to the fourier transform and obtain the frequency signal by replacing s=iw but i still dont know how to plot it.

When you plot the power spectrum in the frecueny domain, you plot \(|X(\text{i}\omega)|^2\).
