there are a couple question on a lab report that I don't quite understand:

  1. What is the significance of f at which Xi=Xc?
  2. At Xi=Xc derive a formula for f
Thanks:)

the circuit and the data attached:

The question is asking about Xi (probably the reactance of an inductor). Your circuit has no hint of an Xi, regardless of what it is.

That's what I thought too, guess my tutor made a typo or I missed something
Assuming Xi is an inductor.

When,

\(| j\omega L| = |\frac{-j}{\omega C}|\)

\(\omega_{o} = \frac{1}{\sqrt{LC}}\)

Where \(\omega_{o} = 2 \pi f_{o}\) is the resonance frequency in rad/s. (\(f_{o}\) is the resonant frequency in Hz)
