I am using a L293D to light up LED's. I provide a 24 volt To light up my LED's. Courant comsuption of each LED is 30 mA. The maximum number of LED's I turn on is 10 (current of 300 mA). Minimum LED's I trun on is 2 (current of 60 mA ). Is the L293D appropriate for my application ? Am I in the recommended operation range of the L293D ?
thank you

Pin 16 should be connected to +5V.
Connect pin 7 to ground. If pin 7 is high and pin 2 is low the LEDs will be driven with reverse voltage. They don't like that.
I would also advise connecting pins 9, 10, and 15 to ground (unused inputs).

thank you, I will connect those pins. actually if I reverse the polarity I bypass the LED. Am I respecting the L293D recomended conditions ?

I don't see how the reverse voltage would be bypassed based on the schematic posted. Why connect between 3 and 6 and not 3 and gnd? To be honest, the L293D is an odd choice for this application.
