KBWD-13 Wiring an On/OFF switch

I'm working on a school project with my son and I would like to wire an on/off switch to my KBWD-13 controller that is running my Bison 90v/130v DC Motor. In the directions it says to only run a switch to the ac power line.

Question, is there a Small toggle switch that will allow me to switch on/off power from an outlet? Or is there another way to wire up the switch where I can use a toggle switch from a part store or somewhere comparable. I already attempted to wire a switch to the inhibit switch on the board, Not good fried that board right away.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

IIRC that is an open style board, are you fitting it in an enclosure?
If so you just fit a suitable toggle switch in the power line in.
How did you wire the inhibit?
This is usually used when reversing the DC output in order for the drive to come up in acceleration when reversing.
Max.

In the interest of keeping things simple and safe I would go to any home improvement store like Lowe's or Home Depot and buy an everyday wall switch.Place it in a plain plastic or metallic wall switch single gang box. Switch the Hot side of the mains power going to L1 & L2 on the board. Would be nice to place an inline 10 Amp fuse in the switched hot side. I would also get some AWG 16 power cord like SOW type and a 120 VAC wall plug.

I see Max already posted a suggestion also.

This is what I was originally thinking but I am looking for a small switch to go in a hand held controller with a Pot.

I can't tell you how I wired it, I think I ran power to the switch, then to I1 and I2 to the Acc on the switch, and then Grounded it to the board. It blew the breaker and fried the board. It is going into an enclosure, but I would like to have the Power switch on the handheld controller. Is that being to picky

I wanted to run cat 6 wire but I think it is to much voltage is that the case.

Cat 6 wire is out. Cat 6 will never handle the current. The manufacturer's data sheet I read suggested a ten amp fuse which is why I suggested 16 AWG minimum for the AC power cord. I would still use SJOOW, which is rated for 300 volts as a power cord. Typically about 72 cents a foot. As to the switch? Just about any toggle switch capable of switching 10 Amps would suffice. Just remember while L1 & L2 on the board don't matter you want to switch the AC high or Hot side. On a standard 120 VAC US outlet that is the smaller of the two slots. Again for the switch Home Depot or similar has them, Home Depot Toggle Switches.
