Hi, I'm trying to get isolated AC signnal for interrupter of Tesla coil. I could use a transformer but it is a bit bulky. I tried using optocoupler but I only get half wave and it ranges from 30% duty cycle to 50% duty cycle. When it is 50% duty cycle it almost becomes a square wave and my circuit does not work. I'm not sure if some kind circuit already exists for this or what it is called..

 

Try using a PC814 opto designed for ac inputs.

Purpose: Interrupting Tesla coil at zero crossing of ac mains with help of 555 timer
Voltage: 12v
Current: 10ma Should be sufficient
Frequency: 60Hz

Yes you can although I don't know for sure if that will fix the issue.
