Three phase motor is driven by VFD and using input line reactors. What is the use of reactors ? Is it for reducing the instantenious current increment? And what if I bypass them?
Thanks.
It is intended more for power factor reason than anything in the VFD itself, For my money, if you have one I would rather use it on the output side, it makes it easier on the drive and the motor, especially if the later is not vector rated.

Where is it using input line reactors? Input of what, VFD or motor? How old is the equipment? Is there anything else connected to reactors?(other than input and output)
Typically manufacturers recommend a 3phase choke or reactor either on the 3ph supply side or the output side between VFD and motor, or both.
I've never used one on the input, the VFD input usually consists of a 3ph rectifier and large capacitor bank.
