In I2S DAC application, most datasheets specifies timing among LRCLK/BCLK/DATA. Without MCLK alignment?

datasheet above as an example, MCLK here is named as SCLK in this datasheet.
Page13 specifies the SCLK frequency, page15 specifies timing among LRCLK/BCK/DATA, you can see the relationship of these 3 signals, but no SCLK.
It means there is no difference if I connect DAC's MCLK to signal source's MCLK_OUT or a crystal?
If yes, what make it no difference?
