I want to do edit my gerber file. Can someone help or explain me how can I do this?

This is the initial version of the gerber file.





I want to delete the small plate and make the final version like this.





I want to edit that's all.

I attach my gerber file as a zip. Please help me!

The most obvious way is to edit the data that was used to create the Gerber file.

The file is ASCII. If you want to try to edit the Gerber file itself, the format is attached.

Thanky you very much for your kind message.

I downloaded this Gerber file from internet(Gerber File). This is a project built by MIT(CosmicWatch).

I don't have the files that Gerber was created with.

The small PCB in the Gerber file belongs to a photodiode. I will use a different photodiode. That's why I don't need that small PCB because increases the cost. That's why I wanted to delete it.

Since the file is in ASCII format, looks like it is not possible to change it.

I use GERBV, you can select and delete items.


If you intend to give this gerber to a PCB manufacturer, he could also certainly could this for you.
