I bought a chinese motorcycle registered as 49cc and i installed a 110cc engine and for legal purpose i want to limit the rev or speed limit by a hidden switch. I think by delaying the ignition time the engine would make less power thus limit the rev at a certain RPM i have an arduino uno and want to make a code that does this .The CDI itself is DC operated and have 4 pins as shown in the picture.

 

Delaying the ignition pulses will just cause misfiring, just limit the revs on the engine or control the fuel . Why do you need to do this ??

If the police try to accelerate it will reach a high rpm wich is illegal i want to limit the rev
