Hi, I recently purchased a clone of the PICkit2, but (of course) it didn't come with any tutorials, so as a beginner with microchips, I have no idea what to do. They gave me this board with a ZIF connector and some pins labeled VCC, VCC, VPP, DAT, CLK, LOW, GND, and GND (in that order). Can someone tell me what to connect to what? (Datasheet: http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/devicedoc/41239A.pdf) Also, how do I create the hex file? Are there any simple tutorials online that would help me? Thanks for your help.

Download the Pickit 2 user guide (www.microchip.com) then refer to cap. 3 You will also need the MPLAB this is a free software Microchip. what kind of project is this. Is it a school project?
