There's 2 intersections within a mile of here, where there is an autozone, and o'reilleys, and advance auto parts on opposing corners of the intersections. I don't know why they do this; do they watch eachother's storefronts and count customers, keeping some bean count?

Where I grew up there was a liquor store / pawn shop / gun store all in one. The small building used to be a Godfather's Pizza restaurant. I got to know the owner fairly well and asked him onetime why he had that combination of a business. He just smiled and said it just happened that way. He started it out as just a liquor store and it grew from there.
