Hi there everyone.
I have a Dremel 3000.
I've opened it up and put back together to try getting it to work.
My conclusion is that it might be the switch, seems that it'll Cost more to have it repaired than the actual machine.
I was thinking of bypassing the speed regulator switch.
It currently doesn't switch on, and the speed switch just slides past each digit, it doesn't click into each speed, if you understand what I mean.
Is there a way to bypass it?
And if so.. How exactly would i go about doing this?
I've included a Pic of what the switch looks like,if that helps.
Kind regards
Joe

Welcome to AAC.

I am missing why you don't buy a new switch and replace the defective one. Checking here, I can get a new one for about $8USD. It is impossible from the photos to tell how the switch is controlling the speed of the motor so bypassing it might cause the tool to run at top speed or it might cause the motor to overheat.

It doesn't seem to be very hard to change the switch out.
